Very Confronting...

Oh My God...

3.5 hours today at Flinders Medical Centre in pre-admission, now that is an education. I had a graphic account of what lays ahead. Did I want it? Yep. Did I need it? Probably yes. Did I like it? Definitely NOT!!

OMG I have a lot of work to do to get ready to deal with the feeding tube, the breathing tubes, and the drains and PICC lines and all the rest of the stuff that will be a feature of me from Friday week and for days beyond.

We met the entire team, had blood tests and cardio tests - it was full on.

Funny day. Started early with a big fattening and high protein breakfast at the farm. My first appointment I thought at 10am for a CT Scan at Jones and Partners next to Burnside Hospital. Sylvia and I had to bring some wine down for client gifts and we loaded it up in Sylvia's ute before heading off to town this morning.

We were running early and Sylv's ute was filthy dirty so we stopped at the Carwash on the way down and had time to get it cleaned. Before we committed to the wait for the wash, I thought I had better double check the time for the scan. Yes it was 10am... BUT, oh dear... I had to fast prior to it.

I figured it probably didn't really matter and rang to check... It mattered alright. So we are off to get the scan tomorrow now!!!

From there it was time to set up for tonight's Major Client (Landlord) function. A night where we had Craig James from CommSec speaking to a dozen of our biggest Landlord clients in the dining room of Kensington House. Craig is such a legend, he also recorded a great Toop.TV segment updating the latest conditions and forecasts for property and the economy for that matter.

It was a really great night. Our first of its kind, and very up close and personal with a small number of very important clients.

Everyone was gone by 10pm and seemingly very happy with the information they received from Craig.

So it is a late blog, and no one to check it again, Sylv is out of it, exhausted and asleep.

Today was very confronting for me.
