Just a quick update from the ICCU - intensive and critical care unit (slightly illegal being on the iPad I think, but oh well... Technically they say no phones or food so it's not really breaking the rules).
In the ICCU there are two 12 unit bays and a big nursing/doctor station running down the middle. Everyone has one-on-one nursing and we have Lisa looking after Dad today.
Dad is out of surgery and doing well. He is talking and already getting restless so is in good form. His scar his sure to be a great subject of conversation... At the moment it looks a big shark bite.
When Dad woke up from the op he couldn't remember anything and had no pain, so much so he thought he was just about to go in to surgery... He had to ask about 10 times if they were sure he had just come out, he couldn't believe how quickly the time had gone!
Anyway he is doing well, so we are looking forward to hopefully catching up with the surgeon tomorrow.
Will write again tomorrow, it's been a long day but a great outcome so we are all very happy.
Night!
Ps: my spelling and grammar is just as bad as Dad's (hereditary I think) you are probably all used to it by now, but hopefully Tan you can run your eyes over this too haha.
