"Home sweet home"

Hi Everyone,

Gen here filling in for dad tonight. This is just a quick update as dad will update the blog from this weekend on Sunday.

This afternoon we ventured up to the vineyard at about 3:30pm. This is the first time we have been back here since the operation. It's funny to think it was only two weeks to the day since we left the vineyard for the Big Op. Funny how so much can happen in the space of two weeks... Dad is now hopefully cancer free!

I can tell dad is so glad to be home! Glenn, your photos were an amazing distraction for dad in hospital, but there is nothing quite like the real thing!

It's frosty up here, but the view is amazing, we have started the open fires, had an early dinner and are now sitting around watching some movies - some well deserved R&R for dad!

I think that is pretty much what this weekend will be about, enjoying the view, the open fires, fresh air and just resting and relaxing, letting the body mend and getting the pain levels down. Can't think of a better place for "convalescing" than here!

So time to sign off, but dad will be back on Sunday to fill you in how everything is going.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Gen x
