Short one tonight...
Wow, plenty of feedback on my Plan to freshen up the a blog by going weekly.
Let me work through that. I also have had requests to post some more jokes. I have clearly been getting slack.
Actually, being sick does keep you very busy and here it is 10.30 at night and Sylv and I have been trying to get back to as many of you as as we can who have sent cards and well wishes with a thank you. Again, please cut us some slack of we drop the ball on this.
Suzannah at dinner tonight reminded me of some of the stories I have been telling them about. Like last night...where I was frustrated being unable to get comfortable and to get some sleep. It was 3am, or wasn't 4am...who cares, I was desperate to find a new spot to try and get comfortable. I tried the bean bag (thanks Bob B) and it was at the farm with only free to air. Taking the advice of Janine (my head shrink), I sat there in front of the TV and flicked through the stations determined to not worry about sleeping. There was such rubbish on I landed on SBS. There was a slide show of cities from around the world and I started trying to remember which ones I had been to. I woke up 40 minutes later....what a win, 40 minutes off the clock. Thank god for 5 am, the real shows start then, sunrise!!!
Today was back to town, and I made the call to be busy. I caught up with a couple of mates and annoyed some of the staff. Popeye shouted me a toasted sandwich at Manto's at about 4pm, grazing all day is something I am learning.
We also decided to go out for dinner, so Indian!! Mmmmm, I wonder how that will go tonight. I was very disciplined though and had only a very small serve.
Tonight I am totally exhausted, I am terrified of switching the lights off (exaggerating) but all the bad stuff in the head comes out with lights off, and the pain seems to go through the roof every night. Got to be in the mind, but this mind of mine will not be slowed!
More tomorrow, I'll dig up some more of Looch's jokes....have plenty. If you get bored, stop reading!!!!
Ha Ha was very interested in your blog today when I read the title - I thought you had a major break through! Anthony so many people care about your days & nights & dont want to bother you by phoning all the time. So whatever you do blog or no blog daily or not you have been most honest through this whole journey & lots of people have learnt much about you & also themselves. You are tough on yourself and thats OK but please know as soon as I think of you in the day & wonder how you are getting on I sit with a cup of tea & read your latest.Tx
