Funny, all the books arrived today with the publishing of "Real Estate Millionaire" - the latest book in a 12 book series. I am featured in it. So much has happened since that story was written, and tonight after writing this blog I want to read what was written a few months ago about me.
I have been thinking a lot about how much I may have changed over this cancer journey. So far it hasn't affected my passion for real estate at all, and in fact I am pretty fired up and frustrated not being able to respond to some of the things going on. Example... I would love to run a campaign about "Another Iconic South Australian Name Lost to International Players"... Of course the name change from Brock to Harcourts. I just love the game of real estate chess, and I can't wait to be there in the trenches as our new technology is set to work and starts matching buyers and sellers really quickly and efficiently.
So, yes, I am very concerned about my operation, it would be ridiculous not to be. Yes, I would love to avoid the pain and suffering, but it is part of my journey and must be faced. Yes, I would love to turn the clock back and have none of the issues that cancer brings... But it is too late, and it is what it is.
BUT... I am ready. It is nearly show time and I will just attack this head on and if you like, in a similar way we deal with competitors who pray on businesses (want them named??? Nup, you know, read the earlier blogs!). Real estate is a great profession but it is one of constant rejection and of highs and lows. Maybe this is good training, it sure requires positive attitudes and we have to back ourselves in every day.
Having cancer has made me face my deepest fears; in turn, facing your fears makes you stronger, I feel sure of that.
A great friend of mine Kim Baker sent me some quotes, I want to share them... For some they will resonate more than for others. Some are just funny to keep it light.
I LOVE THESE QUOTES, thanks Kim..........
