Friday...13 days to go
In a fortnight I'll be in recovery, but for now it is open fire at the Vineyard eating as much as possible and exercising.
The Bettridges (friends from Hong Kong staying with us and bludging my best wine) and I went for a walk around the property. Pay back. I headed off in my RM's while they were sporting rather flash designer runners. Mistake, huge.
It was so wet under foot, there is so much water around the property that our guests ended up with VERY wet feet. We did the whole property, which takes around an hour and as usual spotted plenty of Kangaroo's, and some of them are just huge.
All the dams are over flowing, plenty of damage to the roads and the creeks were running fast. Very therapeutic and definitely better than doing my exercise in the gym. I am so unfit it is embarrassing, but that's what you get when you spend so much time in bed.
Today was a very relaxed day, no work and basically baby sitting our guests, who are high maintenance (only joking). Sylvia has been working all day and has stayed in town to finish up some work stuff, and then she has her "Time for Kids" tomorrow before heading up to the farm to join us. I must say, Sylvia has been amazing, as have Gen and Suz and all the team. Tough market but we seem to be really kicking some business goals, maybe I could retire??
Somehow I doubt that!! I loved getting back into work for a few days this week, it really is something I feel so passionate about. How lucky am I that I still absolutely love the whole work thing, and I feel so sorry for anyone who doesn't experience that.
For now though I have to sort cancer. This is the calm before the storm this week and there is just 13 days of preparation to go...that includes staying away from crowds and anyone sick. Next week gets hectic again on medical appointments. It has been really great feeling well and 'normal' and with minimal medical committments. I am eating pretty much anything again, and even have a glass of red in front of me tonight.
I had another great session tonight with my Clinical Psychologist Janine, and am feeling more confident about dealing with my next challenge, climbing highest peak of all with the operation. My consults are via Skype and Janine is in Germany, it works brilliantly. Got to love technology.
Talking technology, I have been dreaming up more real estate innovations as I have been really getting my head around the capabilities and functionality of all these new Smart TV's....very exciting.
Just 13 days to get both body and mind fit and ready for the next stage of this journey.
Enjoy the weekend.
