Friday night...made it through

I am perched at the kitchen bench at the farm, all 3 Girls, Sylvia,Gen and Suz cooking a healthy meal for dinner and I have just popped pills, mushed powders and taken all this stuff 30 minutes before eating, as required.

The place has been turned into a pharmacy, every where I look all I can see is pills, and powders, oh, and then there is the refrigerated stuff.

The seriously good news is that the PICC was taken out late today, and I have lost the baby bottle of Chemo that has been my buddy all week. Round 1 Chemo, done!!! Yahhh Whooo. BH have been amazing, the Oncology Unit is small and really personal, really great, and I know I made them late getting away tonight, had a really good chat about stuff, so no names I know the rules, but you know who you are...thank you.

My radiation treatment is starting to kick. Have a very distinctive cough at the moment. Given my immune system is in melt down, I will have to keep an eye on this and of course, stay well away from sickies for at least a week or so.

Over the weekend I will do a weekly wrap as a lot happened this week. I do have to be careful with my wierd sense of humor, I had some readers thinking I was really upset about the article in the paper and stuff, and yes, I sure wasn't looking for all that BUT I thought Karen Porter navigated it as well as you could, only wish it was someone else's story that I was reading about. Pretty full on reading an article like that about your own family. There may be a small (hopefully VERY small) follow up article in tomorrows paper, nothing serious like last week.

Anyway, I may have to put something like "Ha ha ha" after my really bad attempt at humor, hey.

Gen drove me to my Radio Therapy session today and we did take a detour to pick up and take another car for a test drive. Getting closer I think to sorting some wheels for her...She needs some to stop stealing my car.

Work wise, yeah did a bit this week. Taking it as it comes, but check out the video the guys did yesterday, it should be up by now at www.teamtoop.toop.com.au. I think that is the address, anyway we couldn't be outdone by AdelaideNow Camera crew and we had a lot of fun doing it, so let me know what you think.

So that is it for now, Mum (as in my Mum) has had her iPad set up by Marcus in our IT and Lew was around tonight getting her on line to read my blog. So Mum, I hope you got it working! She'll be hooked on her iPad before she knows it, very addictive.

Weekend edition will review the week, but the meal is smelling good and I recon the taste buds are still active, so take it one day at a time, I recon my home cooked dinner will be a hit.

PS Popeye (Phil Eley) has his 60th birthday today Elouise McMillan's birthday tomorrow, and Karen Raffen my dear friend and ex Toop&Toop CEO has her birthday Sunday...so not sure if we will get to all the celebrations but if I can we will. Happy Birthday guys, I promise I will never ever complain about another birthday in my life.
