One week to go....
This time next week, Chemo & Radiotherapy will be done, but next week is the double whammy, Chemo all week, and 5 more zaps, as per week one.
Just finished a big dinner, but learnt my lesson - only after full preparation and all the drugs, and eating soooo slowly. Very focussed on getting through without loosing weight, that gives me the best chance when it comes to the opperation.
Tentative dates are either Friday 3rd or Friday 10th August; this will hopefully firm up when we see the Surgeon on Tuesday. I have lots more questions for Tuesday, but preparation is on track, and I am very focussed on staying well.
Tonight I was meant to be at Marie Stacy's 50th, happy birthday Marie...and then off to Power Goes, the annual Port Adelaide major fundraiser. Thanks to Troy and Tim for doing the auction gig, some 1,000 people there. Threds looked after the gig last weekend for Variety, another one of my favourite auctions and I really miss the buzz of all those big events. I must say, to do them properly, takes enormous energy and that is something I have in limited supply right now...big thanks to the guys for giving up their time and doing these.
No sleeps today, took Michael A's advice, had a couple of lie-downs on the couch...a big day. Again a mix of some work, medical and personal activities...the days are flying by. The really good news is that the treatments are on the home run, albeit the toughest time is yet to come.
Picked up Black Beauty after having the new toy installed. I just couldn't take it up to the farm; it was so sparkly clean, I hitched a ride with Simon, our Vineyard Manager. Sylvia came up later after Marie's 50th...fires are on, and the frosty conditions are thawing.
Hope everyone has a terrific weekend, no treatments for 2 days...what a relief.
