25 Years plus a few days...

Last Tuesday I was crook in bed and took a rain check on Tim and Megan's 25th anniversary celebration dinner.

You may have seen The Advertiser's article on page 3 last Wednesday about JW & SW "Defection" from us. Now that was pretty weird. Not sure what all the fuss was about. What I do know is, that it looks like I will have to do one more InsideStory this weekend.

The amount of gossip, headhunting and general misinformation going around at the moment is quite amusing. Clearly some real estate agents aren't busy selling property, they are way too busy making up stories and smoozing our team.

Tonight we celebrated with people we really care about. Megan, Tim, Sylvia and I had a relaxed night chewing the fat, and enjoyed the awesome food at Shiki Restaurant, and I played chauffeur in Black Beauty.

Despite the fact I am now in week 4 of 5 weeks radiotherapy, I was feeling great. My first glass of wine in weeks, and thanks to preparing well (and my new drugs), I ate everything...life seemed so normal.

Today I really wanted to be sure I was OK for tonight, given my late cancellation last week. I had an afternoon sleep and in doing so, forgot my 4pm naturopath appointment, sorry Belle! I received the text 10 minutes after the scheduled appointment time, but managed to get there and have my session all pretty much done in the time allocated.

David Cheney and Phil called in to see me at lunch time; it was great catching up with some mates and pretty spontaneous. Tomorrow, Andy T and Helen are coming down especially to catch up from Tickalina Station...it will be so good to see these guys.

Not knowing how each day will unfold has meant I avoid forward commitments. The only appointments I remember are the specialists and the radiotherapy, and even my naturopath was missed today...such a contrast to my normal world where my diary totally rules my every second.

Three cheers to my new drugs...I can get some sleep (touch wood) at the moment. What a difference sleep makes.

Thanks to those reading my blog. Hopefully dear Tanja is mopping up spelling and grammar as we go, this pre-emptive text writing has so much to answer for!!!

Goodnight, pop the pills and let's go for 6 hours straight tonight.
