After feeling like I had no sleep at all last night with pain plus, I thought today was likely to be a shocker.
To my absolute delight, after a very early radiotherapy session (at 7.50am!!!!!), I had a really good day.
We were late getting onto the machine; there was some hold up, but got away just before 9am and I got Sylvia to run into a supermarket on the way home to stock up on some eggs for breakfast. She had to get back into work (GM has to be around!), I had to go home and try and keep eating.
The game plan at the moment is to not lose weight. Eating is getting problematic, but so far so good. Spices are a no-no, bannanas are painful, and it takes absolutely ages to get stuff down past my tumor, so finally, after all these years, I am eating slowly. Weight has held, this is a big deal. Keeping condition when you are on radio and chemo is a major goal.
I realised in the waiting room at radiotherapy that it was Tim's (Thredgold) 25th anniversary with us at T&T. What a milestone, and Tim wasn't actually aware of it. Tim is like a brother to me, we have been through a lot together. From 9am untill live to air at 1pm, we managed to get Toop.TV to put together a surprise for Threds, with a special segment on him. Given he was hosting the show today, it was indeed a complete surprise to him. Threds - you are an absolute champion.
I had a day catching up with people, and really felt compelled to go into radio (FIVEaa) with Threds for Amanda's (Blair) final real estate show. It was so good to see her, she has been a wonderful person and someone Tim and I have had a ball with on air for many years.
After FIVEaa, I had an attempt to buy that car I was talking about...but they don't want to play, so looks like we are stuck with old cars for a bit longer. Good distraction from my aches and pains!
Tonight, another great catch up with the girls over dinner, it's so good having them around.
Big day, early night.
I'll put today down as a ripper, got through it with no sleep!! Not looking forward to the night, last night was a shocker...I hope for the best tonight, got the pain killers next to the bed and I'll be taking them too.
