Anthony now has ink!
Hi Everyone,
It's Gen here, I'm taking over the blog today as dad isn't feeling that great.
Good news is that he was all psyched up this morning and finally got some ink (that was 4 years in the making)....rather than the elaborate design Suz and I created for his 50th Birthday he opted for a small bullseye on his chest. Like many tats- this also has a meaning and a purpose.... It will be where the radiation hits and to make sure the radio guys get it within 1-2mm each time.
The morning was very productive, as as well as the tat, he met his new PA /nurse Jodie who has slightly different qualifications than the lovely Tanja... She is a radiation nurse who will help dad with his daily radiation treatments and his new BFF.
Dad has two appointments tomorrow, one is a 1.5 hour crash course on Chemo and then an appointment with the Surgeon for his input.
So rather than spending a glamorous evening at the James Thredgold/Gucci launch at Burnside village, I am off to master the art of soup-making and trying to find some low acid/high alkaline meals to mix things up....one challenge is they need to taste good...the patient and spouse are rather fussy!... any tips?
Hopefully Dad will be back on the air tomorrow to fill in any of the gaps that I may have missed!
Gen xx

Hi Gen,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post, sorry Anthony is unwell. Will ask Cecelia about the meals with that criteria, may also need some research. Wine is acidic unfortunately.
Make sure he stays out of spotlight with the new target - he'll understand. Thinking of you all, wild weather up here at Kuitpo.
Watching State of Origin, toughest match in world I think.

Thanks for the kind words Gen...Anthony, I'll let Jodie be your new BFF only if she promises to give you back once all this is over - then I'll be happy! :D
