Made 5 years....Looks like 60th is happening

So much has happened since I was on this blog and I'm so pleased to say, I'm still here.

Life has changed enormously though.

Today I have decided to add some chapters to my story....my world 60th tour.

World 60th Tour

Day 1.  Friday 30th June 2017

(Friday June 30 to Saturday August 5th 2017)

After much anticipation the World 60th Tour commenced in the early hours of Friday 30th with my first of probably hundreds of photos clocked in at 3.52am. We actually woke before the alarm and from memory it was around 3am. Pretty excited obviously.

By 5am we were in Qantas Club in what is now our favourite seats ready to head into the international area to fly away for nearly 6 weeks via Hong Kong on Cathay's direct flight out of Adelaide and then on to Heathrow.

The time arrived and after a seamless run through security we settled into the first leg of the trip. Love the long flights....lots of movies and time to just savour the moment buried in our little hub of peace and tranquility.

I did get a request on the Heathrow leg to move seats, which was no drama and enabled a family to travel as one. Interesting though, there was what was mum and dad, the family baby sitter and all business class.

There was a tight as a drum transfer in Hong Kong, once again seamless. Cue jumped legally through security and pretty much simply boarded flight.

Before we knew it we were landing in Heathrow, many movies under our belts and almost non stop sleeping. It was early evening in London. Big mistake sleeping so much on the trip.

Booked into airport hotel. Dinner, well it was sort of. Shocker. The bar person was terrific and gave us some tips on Portuguese food and the places to go between Lisbon and Porto. Pemiche-for seafood, Aveiro for seafood, Leitao, Tripas.

Again, couldn't sleep. A combo of excitement and too much sleeping on the flight over.
